Countries around the world are accelerating the tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs); there is no time to keep waiting. Stellar is one notable example worth watching.
Stellar's RWA market grows about 360%, institutional adoption accelerates
According to Cointelegraph, the real-asset market on Stellar has grown about 360% this year, eventually reaching $868.8 million, while the comparable figure last year was about $4 billion. Growth has come mainly from tokenized Treasury securities, credit lines, commodities, and financial instruments. Institutions are no longer treating blockchain merely as an experiment but are moving more financial assets on-chain.
Yet the price of the XLM token has not reflected this momentum. It currently ranks close to Cardano, and its price remains stagnant. Its all-time high was about $0.93, set in 2018, while Cardano rose as high as $3 in the previous cycle. This disconnect between network growth and token price also exists for many altcoins. The market has not yet priced this real-asset growth into the token's value, and whether the price can eventually catch up with real value remains worth watching.
Russia's largest bank plans to accept Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT as loan collateral
Sber, Russia's largest bank, is planning to expand its crypto-backed lending and intends to accept Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT as collateral. The move comes as Russia advances organized cryptocurrency trading under new legislation. Borrowers can use digital assets as collateral and obtain liquidity without selling their assets.
The banking law authorizes decisions on which cryptocurrencies can be traded on organized securities exchanges. The central bank currently proposes Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT, and the list may be expanded in the future; criteria include market value, trading volume, and a price history of no less than five years.
At the same time, Sber is cautious about the digital ruble. Demand for the central bank digital currency it has launched is limited, and there is little evidence of substantial market demand for such products. People prefer assets that have existed longer over products that a central bank can stop at any time. This may be the first time the market has shown indifference toward a central bank digital currency.
Gold-symbol Trump coin denies issuance and condemns bad actors
The “Real Trump Coin” organization denied launching a gold symbol, said it had not authorized any promoter to launch any digital currency, blamed bad actors, and is cooperating with authorities in the investigation. Earlier, a Trump digital currency gold list promoted through Solana platform channels quickly collapsed, with reports saying it plunged more than 95% within one minute. Fifteen related wallets sold about $333,000 worth of assets, making a profit of about $312,000.
The incident has raised questions about issuance control, and shows that compromised accounts or risk exposure can cause real harm to the market. The lesson is that a brand being mentioned does not equal official endorsement. Still, institutions remain focused on cryptocurrency, and utility will be the key to where things go next.
Bitcoin is at resistance, pullback is healthy
Bitcoin's price is at resistance, and a pullback is acceptable; there is no need to worry. Last week saw a slight peak, and this week's daily chart has about seven candles. After a rapid rise, a pullback is healthy and appropriate. Going forward, attention should be paid to whether the 83,000 level can be broken; before that, it can be viewed as an upward wave having started. This article does not constitute financial advice, and readers should do their own research.
